“Reinventing HPC” is the official slogan for ISC High-Performance 2024. The challenges in the HPC ecosystem are manyfold: What are the answers to create more energy-efficient and more sustainable HPC? How do we deal with energy consumption in the rapidly growing AI space? And is AI all about scale or maybe also about smart AI approaches within HPC? What's next in the field of HPC and quantum? And how do we prepare our users for all of this?
At the LRZ, we’ve accepted the challenge to find solutions to the questions, that drive our industry already today – and to do the possible. Why? Because it is in our DNA to support our users as best as we can and always be one step ahead to providing the latest technologies. Opening up new avenues for our users and increasing their time-to-solution is what really matters to us.

Meet us at ISC24 - GCS booth #K02
Soon to be operational, the Phase 2 of SuperMUC-NG it's one of the fastest supercomputers in Germany. It significantly expands LRZ’s high performance artificial intelligence capabilities and serves Germany's broad AI and HPC userbase. It will reduce the time to science for world-class use cases from e.g. life sciences, environmental sciences, and material sciences.
